- EXPLODING WINDOWS
-
- EW gives you "exploding" windows. This means that when windows (and also
- requesters) are opened, they open in a more exciting manner than you're
- used to seeing - a rectangle grows from a very small size to the size that
- the final window or requester will be. Windows and requesters that are
- closed get kind of the reverse treatment - they shrink away to nothing.
-
- To use, just type RUNBACK EW (or click on its Workbench icon) and EW will
- install itself and start intercepting OpenWindow(), CloseWindow(), Request(),
- and EndRequest() calls. To remove EW, just type EW (or click on its Workbench
- icon) and it will tell the background EW to go away. If you really like it,
- you might want to put it in your startup sequence.
-
- Ideas are welcome. This is the first time I've experimented with this kind
- of a wedge, so I'm sure that there are probably all sorts of ways to make it
- better. It would probably be a lot better if it were in assembly language
- (it's kind of big now, about 8K bytes), but I don't have the time to do
- it now.
